Climate Leadership

Training for Elected/Appointed Officials and City/County Managers

A “Special Training for Elected/Appointed Officials & City/County Managers” one-day crash course will be hosted in Rhode Island, and one in Massachusetts, during the Spring of 2020 by the Network and the Maryland Climate Leadership Academy.

The Maryland Climate Leadership Academy was established to build capacity at the community level to effectively plan for and take action on climate change. To ensure that elected and appointed officials are sufficiently knowledgeable about the implications of climate change upon the health, security and economic vitality of their communities, the Maryland Climate Leadership Academy offers a series of training programs tailored specifically for elected and appointed officials in state/local government, as well as for city/county managers.
