Talk Description:
Explore a tool to cite nature-based solutions for climate resilience outcomes. This tool can help guide implementation of NBS by looking at how inland flood, coastal flood, and drought hazards overlap with opportunities for nature-based solutions. The talk will explore a few examples of MA Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness climate resilience priority actions, walk through the use of the tool, and develop a statement and workplan for moving forward with feasibility planning.

Presenter Bio:
Sara Burns is a water resource scientist with the Massachusetts Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Sara works with a range of partners and technical experts around Massachusetts to plan, fund, and construct nature-based solutions to improve water quality, reconnect aquatic ecosystems, and reduce natural hazard impacts. Sara is a certified MVP service provider, and has a MS in Environmental Science from Indiana University.
