Description:

In this webinar, we will report the results of the 2020/2021 Stewardship Mapping and Assessment Project of Southeast New England (StewMAP SNE) and show you how to explore the data, which includes information about 149 stewardship organizations and roughly 700 networked funders, knowledge providers and partners, using an online public dashboard.

Through this webinar, you will learn about environmental stewardship actions being taken in the SNEP region, organizational capacity (e.g., staff, volunteers, funds), the extent of knowledge sharing and funding networks, desired network relationships that have yet to be made, and the locations and extents of the areas in which stewardship organizations work. Additionally, you will learn about the StewMAP methodology, a formal approach developed by the USDA Forest Service, to document and map stewardship organizations and their supporting networks.

The 2020/2021 Stewardship Mapping and Assessment Project of Southeast New England (StewMAP SNE) included a survey and online mapping effort to learn about civic environmental stewardship groups, where they work, and who they work with. Data was collected between November 2020-June 2021. This research was funded by the New England Environmental Finance Center, through the Southeast New England Program Network (SNEP Network), and hosted at the Rhode Island School of Design.
