State of our Salt Marshes: Westport Salt Marsh Stakeholder Workshop

State of our Salt Marshes: Westport Salt Marsh Stakeholder Workshop

Monday, April 27, 2026, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
In Person at the Westport Free Public Library:
408 Old County Road
Westport, MA 02790

Workshop Description:

The Town of Westport, in partnership with Mass Audubon and the SNEP Network, invites you to join a conversation about local coastal habitat protection and restoration opportunities, and how we can work together to protect our estuary.

In this interactive workshop, participants will first learn about salt marsh health in Westport and then discuss land protection and habitat restoration priorities to help guide future conservation efforts. Mass Audubon will present the results of a town-wide assessment of salt marsh condition and vulnerability, followed by opportunities for strategic land conservation and ecological restoration. The Town wishes to review these recommendations with those involved in coastal habitat management efforts in Westport and identify areas to collaborate on a coordinated approach to improve the health and resilience of Westport’s estuary.
